Richmond, BC… At Auntie Em’s ReCreations, I love to scour estate sales, thrift stores, and antique fairs to find fabulous vintage jewellery. My name is Emily Langevin, aka Auntie Em, and I have a great appreciation and fondness for vintage jewellery. In 2005, I decided to combine my longtime passion for jewellery and design by taking yesterday’s treasures and making them modern, from kitschy and fun to elegant and delicate.
I break down brooches, pins, earrings, and necklaces, into a treasured collection of sparkling, colourful rhinestones, semi-precious stones, unique art glass, faux pearls, Swarovski crystals, Czech glass, opalescent, Venetian glass, vintage metal filigree, simple white buttons, extravagant buttons, unique beads, and lots of glitz. I re-work and re-invent the retro, recycled materials into funky new one-of-a-kind pieces which begin a new journey in the world of fashion accessories, adding a sparkle to an evening suit or a pair of jeans.
I am pleased to announce belt buckles as the latest addition to my collection of bracelets, earrings, lariats, necklaces. I inlay bits and baubles from my treasures to create perhaps an art deco flair or a subtle art nouveau French-styled piece, and attached each one to a black or brown leather belt. The possibilities, combinations, and colours available allow my imagination to flourish. Priced from $55.00
